Auriane Preud’Homme
Auriane Preud’homme is a visual artist living in Les Lilas (FR). Through performance, sculpture, video, writing and independent publishing practices, she investigates different forms of orality and the shifts between materiality and language. Her work draws on multiple narratives: pre-modern and contemporary historical, often conveyed by oral sources as subjective voices destined to be told, extended, fictionalized and/or popularized. Recently, her latest projects have focused on gossip, reality TV, intentional communities, constructed languages, the representation of minority voices in art history, myth and popular culture. Since 2019, she has also been co-founder of the journal Phylactère (in collaboration with Roxanne Maillet, éditions Immixiton Books), which explores the question of the relationship between orality and writing, performance and its publication.
