Art Education
La Villa du Parc offers art tours that are well suited to local and regional programs. Chemins de la culture for middle school, Passeurs de culture for high schools, the Annemasse PEAC (Art Education and Culture Program for primary schools), PEDT (Regional Education Program for normal, extracurricular, and supplemental learning activities), etc.
Instructors or head teachers, association heads, activity leaders at day care centers can either put together an art tour based on the 4 modules our art center offers, or adopt a prewritten project. These range from the simple discovery tour to visits that are more elaborate and may involve members of our staff taking part as well (the head of communications, for producing the communications supports like posters, flyers, or brochures; the display design manager, for installing the works produced and designing their overall display, etc.).
There also exist Art and Public space tours that feature a visit to a public space in Annemasse and a workshop that can look at, for example, questions of spatial design.
Feel free to ask us about the possibilities found in our program at mediation@villaduparc.org
Our tours are designed with visual arts and art history programs in mind. They are generally organized around 4 modules and incorporate a range of timeframes.
In front of the artwork: one (or a cycle) of the tours that are part of the program.
History of the arts: interactive slideshow for the classroom or in an association’s meeting room, assemble hall, etc. The theme choices are consistent with the art tour program as a whole.
Experimental workshop: led by artists chosen for the quality of their approaches to art and their teaching skills. For these workshops, La Villa du Parc also works with painters, draftsmen and women, photographers, and video artists. The choice of the medium and content of the workshop will be determined in keeping with the narrative running throughout the tour program.
Valorization: the artworks done by the pupils will be put on display at La Villa du Parc.
Working with the Departmental Teaching Advisory Board – Visual Arts of the National Education Department, La Villa du Parc puts together educational tours for primary school teachers which are part of educators’ lifelong learning program.
Training in contemporary art teaching and appreciation is regularly co-organized with DAAC (the Academic Art and Culture Delegation) and the intermediary professor of Contemporary Art of Haute-Savoie. These professional classes are aimed at secondary school instructors regardless of the subject they teach.
